At many square dances, as much time is devoted to ROUND Dancing as to Square Dancing.
Round dancing is cued ballroom dancing, It is a beautiful dance form where all the couples dance the same steps in unison at the direction of the cuer (caller). The dancing couples form a big circle and dance around it; hence the name. Many types of ballroom dance are used, including cha-cha, two-step, waltz, jive, rumba and foxtrot. A few square dance clubs have Round Dance instruction.
